There are several transparent materials which can be used as roofing such as Plexiglas sheets complete-transparent covers and glass panels. Plexiglas sheets can be used if you want protection from rain and direct sunlight without heating the sitting area of the pergola. Complete-transparent covers are used if you want to keep the traditional style of your pergola but still provide the protection you need from rain. On the other hand the glass panels can be used if your pergola is located in an open area without worrying about falling tree branches or fruits.

Polycarbonate Polycarbonates are thermoplastic polymers which can be easily moulded and has a high impact resistance along with other advantages such as heat resistance ease of shaping flame retardancy and toughness.
